dorix® fibres respects the environment by virtue of solution dyeing (2011)
Since solution dyeing is done during the initial stage of the extrusion process, there is no need for additional finishing. This means savings in water usage, as well as wastewater treatment costs. Therefore, solution dyeing not only ensures good product performance but also safeguards the environment. This is how dorix ® staple fibre can meet the sustainability requirements of today’s market.

CornLeaf: RadiciGroup launches a new yarn made from Ingeo™ PLA biopolymer  (2010)
RadiciGroup officially introduces CornLeaf, one of the Group’s latest green products made from Ingeo™ polylactic acid (PLA) polymer, an innovative 100% natural material produced from renewable vegetable resources.

The product launch of REvive, recycled polyester yarn made by Noyfil SA (2010)
Noyfil SA - a storied RadiciGroup company active in the PET sector - perfected REvive, a line of polyester products derived from post-consumer recycled bottles. In addition to being produced from recycled materials, REvive is dyed during extrusion, so there is no need for further finishing treatments. This allows for a significant decrease in energy and water consumption.
RadiciSpandex Corp. thinks outside the box for its latest eco-friendly initiatives (2009)
RadiciSpandex, maker of RadElast® high-performance elastane fiber, continues to build its commitment to environmentally conscious business practices with a number of new eco-friendly initiatives led by its replacement of bleached shipping cases with kraft packaging constructed in part from recycled materials, with no use of bleaching chemicals, thereby reducing green house emissions, wastewater production and carbon footprint.
Radici Spandex Corp. produces a new more eco-friendly product (2009)

Radici Yarn SpA introduced Greenfil®, product of a collaboration with Sofila and Arkema
In September, during the 48th Man-made Fibres Congress held in Dornbirn, Austria, new developments in the fibres sector were discussed. Radici Yarn – a RadiciGroup company engaged in the fibres sector – introduces high-performance, eco-sustainable Greenfil® yarn, the product of a joint effort between RadiciGroup and two important European companies in the industry: Sofila, the French nylon processing specialist and the Arkema chemical group.

RadiciFil SpA: water, steam and energy as engines of sustainability (2009)
RadiciFil SpA —part of RadiciGroup and leading company in the manufacture of carpet yarn — completed two utilities optimization projects. The work was started in 2008 and by 2009 had already yielded considerable improvement in overall environmental impact.

Radici Yarns SpA is awarded ISO 14000 Environmental Management Certification (2009)
In December 2008, Radici yarn SpA plants in Pistoia and Villa d’ogna (BG) are awarded ISO 14001 environmental certification. RadiciGroup confirms, once again, its commitment to sustainability and to eco-friendly values.
Tessiture Pietro Radici SpA installes a system to abate spunbond production emissions (2009)
Tessiture Pietro Radici SpA concluded the second stage of installing a system to abate emissions from its spunbond production process. This plant represents a large investment in one of the core products of this historic RadiciGroup firm engaged in the production of nonwovens and artificial grass yarn.

RadiciGroup participates in the 47th Dornbirn Man-Made Fibres Congress dealing with topics related to research and development and safety, in particular. The Group representative presents RadiciGroup’s important innovative developments and achievements in synthetic Fibres production.
New communications technology: the Web helps reduce paper usage (2008)
RadiciGroup website statistics show that, during 2008, a total of 69,388 files (brochures, certificates and other documents) were downloaded. If all that documentation had been printed and mailed, the environmental impact resulting from the huge paper consumption and transport utilization would have been considerable.
Integrated environmental authorization for Radici Yarn SpA (2008)
The Region of Lombardy has granted Radici Yarn SpA an integrated environmental authorization (AIA), an official permit by which the company takes on further responsibilities towards the environment and the community hosting its production site, in that the company’s operation will be subject to periodic audits and inspections by public bodies in charge of verifying compliance with applicable laws on environmental matters.
Radicispandex SpA promotes new ideas and young talents in the annual “Stretch to the Future” event (2008)
In 2008, US subsidiary RadiciSpandex sponsored the event “Stretch to the future” for the ninth consecutive year. The company provided its products for the scholarship design competition at the prestigious Fashion School of Kent State University and awarded scholarships to the winners. Because giving talented youth the space they deserve and promoting interaction between the academic and corporate worlds are necessary conditions for improvement.
Radici Yarn SpA believes in the use of alternative and renewable energy sources (2008)
In 2008, Radici Yarn of the Fibres area installed a new DLE turbine in its co-generation plant. This led to a noticeable reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions. RadiciGroup, with the support of Geogreen, always promotes the use of more environmentally friendly alternatives and renewable energy sources.
