Radici Chimica SpA Novara plant: Life Cycle Assessment study for PA 66 granules (2009)
Conducting a study of the PA 66 production process in the context of the product life cycle from the “cradle”(extraction of raw materials) to the “gate” (production of granules), pointing out the changes generated by emissions into the environment and consumption of resources. This is the task that RadiciGroup gave a consulting company for its first LCA study begun in December 2009.

The Polo di Innovazione Regionale per la Chimica Sostenibile [Sustainable Chemistry Innovation Regional Consortium], is officially launched in July 2009. Radici Chimica SpA, a leading company in the sector, was among the founding members and has taken on a public role in collaboration with some of its stakeholders.

ISO 14000 Environmental Certification for Radici Chimica Novara (2009)
In 2009 Radici Chimica Novara is awarded ISO 14001 environmental management certification. Beginning with the Chemicals area, RadiciGroup believes and invests in certified environmental sustainability. Radici Chimica Deutschland GmbH has been ISO 14001 certified since 2006.
REACH is RadiciGroup’s practical tool to optimize the management of chemical substances (2008)
At the end of November 2008, RadiciGroup will voluntarily pre-register with REACH Regulation of chemicals. REACH is an EU regulatory authority that has established an integrated system for the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals.
Radici Chimica Deutschland GmbH is one of the most advanced chemical plants in all Europe (2008)
RadiciGroup continues to pursue its production plant optimization policy (thanks to continual investment, Radici Chimica Deutschland GmbH is one of the most advanced chemical plants in Europe). This is because RadiciGroup believes that technology opens up new market spaces and development possibilities, while reducing waste and pollutant emissions.
Ecological transportation of goods: alternative transport systems (2008)
Radici Chimica SpA, a RadiciGroup company located in Novara, Italy, has chosen to shift more of its goods from road to rail, both in Italy and in Europe. By increasing its use of rail transport, the company has managed to achieve a considerable reduction in road traffic (5,000 fewer trucks circulating on Italian roads alone in 2008) and improved efficiency and safety in load/unload and transport operations.
RadiciGroup chemical sites reduce polluting emissions from production processes (2006)
Since 2006, a new technology for the abatement of nitrous oxide in the production of adipic acid has been used at two of the most important RadiciGroup production sites, Radici Chimica in Italy and Radici Chimica Deutschland GmbH in Germany. This innovation helped to significantly reduce nitrous oxide emissions into the atmosphere, as well as other air pollution.
